The Embassy of the Republic of Chad in Canada informs its citizens living in Canada that as of March 1st, 2024, the fees for consular documents submitted to Chadians and dual nationals (Chadian-Canadians) are fixed as follows:

The standard processing time for a visa application is 7 business days.

• 3 months multiple entries ........................................  $CAN 150.00

• 6 months multiple entries ........................................  $CAN 200.00

    • Express processing in 1 day ................................         $CAN 50.00 additional

    • Express processing in 3 days ................................       $CAN 25.00 additional

Certified cheque, postal money order only payable to the Embassy of Chad in Canada.

Submission:

In winter, from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm, and in summer from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Retrieval: From 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

Embassy of Chad in Ottawa Visa Information

For foreigners traveling to Chad, they must have a valid passport and visa, except citizens of the following countries: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Congo, Nigeria, Niger. Citizens of these countries can enter Chad with a valid passport or authorization.

Holders of diplomatic, official passports, or any other travel document issued by an international organization are exempt from visa fees.

Visa Application Process at the Embassy of Chad:

​

A valid passport with at least two blank pages; A duly completed application form; Two (02) passport photos meeting the standards; An employer's letter stating the reason for the trip with the departure date; A round-trip airline ticket or valid booking from a travel agency indicating the itinerary; An invitation letter authenticated by a notary; A prepaid envelope for the return of passports sent by post.

All these documents must be submitted with the passport. An incomplete application will be rejected.
